Bonnie Blue’s highly publicized “Bang Bus” appeared to hit an unexpected snag this weekend after footage circulated online showing the branded blue vehicle being loaded onto a tow truck in Surfers Paradise.
According to News.com.Au, the bus, which has been central to weeks of speculation about whether the banned OnlyFans star was attempting to insert herself into Australia’s annual Schoolies celebrations, was reportedly removed after a mechanical failure.
Gold Coast Tow Trucks confirmed that it responded to a breakdown call on View Avenue, Surfers Paradise, on Sunday, November 23. According to Queensland Police, officers were called to the scene around 3:45 p.m. after the bus was found parked on a yellow line.
Police said the driver advised that the vehicle was awaiting a tow due to steering failure and that no traffic infringement notice was issued.
The spectacle quickly gained traction online, with multiple TikTok clips showing the bus on the back of a tow truck. Social media users speculated about arrests and police involvement, though authorities confirmed the incident was limited to a breakdown and routine police attendance. The bus’s status after being removed from the street remains unclear.
The breakdown has also reignited concern in Australian media, including renewed attention from the Sydney Morning Herald, which has repeatedly scrutinized Blue’s previous attempts to associate herself with Schoolies and her “barely legal” content strategy.
The publication has previously detailed why Blue’s Australian visa was canceled in 2024, citing allegations that she intended to work while visiting on a tourist visa and to produce explicit material involving male school leavers.
Those concerns resurfaced after Blue teased earlier this month that she would be involved with Schoolies again, saying, “I don’t want to give too much away, but let’s just say I’ve got good lawyers and I will be doing schoolies this year.” Subsequent reporting, however, indicated that Blue remains unable to enter Australia and has instead been in Bali during the Schoolies period.
Despite her absence, the bus—bearing her branding and slogans—was deployed to the Gold Coast ahead of the celebrations, fueling speculation and confusion among onlookers who believed its presence signaled her return. Blue has since acknowledged that she is not in Australia but has continued to promote Schoolies-related stunts remotely.
Blue has also said that while she is overseas, promotional activities linked to her brand are continuing on the Gold Coast.
In public statements, she claimed that vials of her saliva were being distributed at an event as a way to “offer entertainment” despite not being physically present, an assertion that prompted questions about biosecurity laws. Human bodily fluids are listed as prohibited imports by the Australian Border Force unless specific approvals are granted.
