Tyler, the Creator, Rosalía and Cole Bennett are among the names recruited by Instagram for some new initiatives designed to inspire its users.
A set of collaborative short films and experiences called "ANYWAY" will focus on "the idea that great things happen when you take creative chances" according to a press release. The partnership will feature the aforementioned names as well as Fred Again.. and Clint 419, and will take place in cities like New York, Miami, London, and Paris.
For the launch of "ANYWAY," Tyler hosted a round table called "Ask It Anyway," where he discussed "taking creative risks, his Odd Future origins, the Chromakopia tour, his first film, and more" with New York City creatives.
Elsewhere, IG will introduce new product features to boost creativity in the app. Starting June 12, users will be able to stream Spotify songs to Instagram Notes, and on June 30, new fonts will arrive for Stories and Reels, "inspired by the real handwriting of creatives they love," with Rosalía serving as the first artist.
Users will also be able to rearrange their IG grids for a customized look, and for a limited time, streaming Tyler’s songs on Spotify will unlock a secret effect in IG Notes.
Lastly, Instagram aims to support the next wave of creatives with the program, Drafts, which will "invest in emerging talent and support creators and artists at critical moments in their journey." Creatives will receive financial support, connections, co-ideation, and opportunities for collaboration to aid in their artistic journeys.
