One baby shower wasn't enough for Ashanti to celebrate the upcoming delivery of her first child with Nelly. The R&B singer recently held a second shower in Huntington, New York, surrounded by family and friends, some of whom probably couldn't attend Ashanti's surprise party at a Dolce & Gabbana store.
As captured in video and pictures, Ashanti held a second "Baby Haynes" bash at Huntington's Oheka Castle, where guests riding through the luxury driveway were greeted with Ashanti's maternity portraits. Upon approaching the venue's outside steps to welcome partygoers, Ashanti sang and danced along to her husband's 2000 classic "Ride Wit Me."
Although Nelly didn't appear to be at the event, his presence was felt just weeks after surprising Ashanti at a D&G shop in New York, where the singer looked surprised but excited to see her loved ones.
In one clip from the celebration, Nelly explained wanting to "break the ice" with Ashanti at Fat Joe and Ja Rule's 2021 Verzuz concert, after the two hadn't dated for roughly a decade.
We're unsure if Ashanti has plans to throw a third baby shower, but the "Happy" vocalist and Nelly will throw an official island-themed wedding, which she teased to Entertainment Tonight last month.
