A prank YouTuber caught hands from Kevin Gates after coming at the rapper sideways in a California mall.
During a visit to Westfield Topanga Mall, content creator Wayon harassed employees at Spencer’s and a security guard before running into Gates around the two-minute mark of the video below.
"You look like Kevin Gates. That is Kevin Gates!" Wayon said at the sight of The Ceremony artist.
Gates, who appeared to be walking with a woman, sternly replied, "Look, stop playing with me, bro. Get the fuck out the door," as he in Wayon were reaching the mall’s exit doors.
Wayon quickly apologized before trying to pull another stunt on Gates, living up to his "forever immature" tagline, asking, "Can you say 'dick in that pussy' for me real quick?"
But instead of fulfilling his request, Gates gave Wayon a firm smack on the back of his head. "Ahhh, Kevin Gates! What the fuck, Kevin Gates? Come on, man. Ow, that hurt. What the heck, Kevin? I didn’t appreciate that, Kevin. That hurt a lot."
Before trying to walk back into the mall, where he was turned away by the same security guard, Wayon continued, "Kevin Gates just assaulted me. Damn, ouch. N***a, I just got punched by Kevin Gates. That’s lowkey a dub."
After Wayon decided to post his video of the incident on YouTube, Gates seemingly responded in an Instagram video of his own.
"Don't you never do no shit like that boy. I ain't raised you to be like that," he says in the video, before modeling how people should approach him in the future. "You just walk over, 'How you doing I'm Kevin. I didn't want anything, I just was coming to say hello.' Simple and gangster, that's it that's all."
He finished the video with some additional words of wisdom, "Don't let me never hear nothing about you doing no shit like that again boy. It's all good baby, players mess up to. Mistakes make us great. Learn from your mistakes, don't make them no more."
Rappers have reacted to prank YouTubers before, like last October, when YouTuber White Dolemite called T.I. and Trae Tha Truth "boy" before getting snatched up by someone in their entourage.
