6ix9ine has reportedly signed a new record deal with Kartel Music that's potentially worth $6 million.
According to the contract, obtained by TMZ, the "Gummo" rapper will receive $1 million for his upcoming 10-track album which he will record with artists from Mexico. The remaining sum will be paid out through a tour spanning the United States and Mexico, as well as Central and South America. He's expected to earn $250,000 for each show.
The 28-year-old artist told a photographer in Miami after signing the deal that he's looking to take Mexico by storm, as reported by TMZ.
The Brooklyn native shared a screenshot of the news of his record deal with Kartel Music, along with a message reflecting on the deal via Instagram this week. "Jesus is king, I love you," he wrote as part of the message he posted to his page.
As part of his record deal, 6ix9ine has to stay out of trouble, meaning he cannot get arrested and must avoid any legal matters.
TMZ notes a considerable portion of earnings from his new deal will go towards the money he owes to the IRS. While the exact amount is unknown, federal agents showed up at his Florida residence in April and seized a few vehicles, in addition to several items inside his home.
Speaking of legal matters, last month 6ix9ine appeared to respond to his ex-girlfriend Yailín La Más Viral's lawsuit accusing him of domestic violence and theft.
