Boosie Badazz is "confident" he's not heading to prison despite facing a potential 24-month sentence in connection with a gun case.

During an appearance on The Breakfast Club on Friday (November 14), the Gangsta Melodiez artist stressed the importance of not allowing certain outcomes to even be considered — or at least not spoken aloud.

“I’m confident like a muthafucka," he told Charlamagne Tha God and company. "I ain’t going to jail. I don’t speak that out my mouth. I’m from down south. Your word, your mouth, is a powerful source."

Elaborating further, Boosie took issue with those who have assumed he will be handed down the full two-year stint at his upcoming sentencing.

"It’s still up to the judge," he pointed out. "It’s up to God, but it’s up to the judge. You know, people saying, 'He gotta do two years.' That’s not a fact of this case. It’s up to the judge what the judge wanna do. I’m confident, man. I’m chin up, chest high."

Boosie added that he’s "prepared" for whatever happens, though he still has hope that a pardon will come through in the end, a sentiment he also expressed in a recent conversation with TMZ. Regardless, he feels he’s in a more favorable position when compared with his prior legal issues.

"I don’t have a judge that hates me this time," he said. "I’ve always had judges that crucified me."

In October, it was revealed that Boosie had hired lobbyists as part of his push for a pardon. The 43-year-old Louisianian has also made several public pleas for pardon consideration. His sentencing, originally scheduled for Nov. 21, was pushed back to Jan. 9 at his request. The change in date happened on Friday (Nov. 14).
