Diddy's prison release date has been pushed back.
As of Thursday (Nov. 13), the Federal Bureau of Prisons inmate database lists Diddy’s release date as June 4, 2028. The Bad Boy Records founder was previously said to be eyeing a potential May 2028 release.
Complex has reached out to Diddy's reps for comment. Earlier this month, reps for the 56-year-old denied claims that he had been “caught with alcohol” while behind bars, calling them “completely false.”
In July, Diddy’s racketeering and sex trafficking trial concluded with a split verdict. He was ultimately found guilty of two counts of violating the Mann Act, but not guilty of racketeering conspiracy and sex trafficking. As Complex's Shawn Setaro reported at the time, Diddy appeared to mouth “Thank you” to jurors after the verdict was read in the courtroom.
Sentencing followed in October, with Diddy being handed down a 50-month stint in federal prison, plus a $500,000 fine.
"First and foremost, I want to apologize and say how sincerely sorry I am for all of the hurt and pain that I have caused others by my conduct,” Diddy said in a letter to the judge ahead of sentencing. “I take full responsibility and accountability for my past wrongs.”
In the same letter, Diddy also addressed his past violence against Cassie, who testified at his trial.
“I literally lost my mind,” he wrote at the time, adding that he was “dead wrong for putting my hands on the woman that I loved.”
Diddy, who’s currently behind bars at the low-security Fort Dix facility, has since made good on his legal team’s promise to appeal. Past noteworthy inmates at the Jersey prison include Martin Shkreli and George Jung.
