Drake and PARTYNEXTDOOR's "Somebody Loves Me" Gets 19 Videos After Kai Cenat Sparks Idea

Next up for Drake fans is 'Iceman,' a new solo album.

Drake and PARTYNEXTDOOR’s $ome $exy $ongs 4 U highlight “Somebody Loves Me” has been given not one, not two, but 19 new videos.

As fans may recall, Kai Cenat previously went public with his own desire to step up and helm a Drake video of his own, at the time saying so in response to the release of the Theo Skudra-directed “Nokia” video.

Now, Kai and Drake have partnered to give directors of a variety of levels of notoriety a shot at short-form glory. The 19 new videos, per press notes from Drake’s team, are intended to serve as both “micro-videos” and pitches for a fully formed vision.

“Our finalists represent a diverse range of experience levels, as we were committed to giving new and emerging directors—including a few first-time directors—the opportunity to showcase their talent,” a message shared to Drake’s official site reads.

Drake elaborated on the project on Instagram on Wednesday (Aug. 27), writing that he, Kai, and PARTYNEXTDOOR "wanted to give anyone and everyone looking for a creative opportunity a chance to direct and showcase their abilities."

"Thank you for all your submissions and congrats to the 20 people that were chosen," he wrote.

Selected creators whose micro-videos got the 6 God co-sign include: SEYI.KG, Justice Silvera, Edgar Daniel, Riley Robbins, Aaron Ricketts, Rich Hall, Taran, Hannah Sider, Jaleigha B. Jones, Jabari Daniel, Jlean, Jordan Sook Studios, Annie Burke, Matias Sarria & Carlos Rodriguez, Ameya Tokyo, Elias & Tamara Majin, Dt July, Dito Andres, and Kristen Lambie.

The lates $$$4U push comes amid fan hype over Iceman, Drake’s upcoming solo album and first since 2023’s For All the Dogs. While there's no official release date yet, the album is expected to arrive before year’s end.
