Ja Rule doesn’t believe Drake needs any advice following his and Kendrick Lamar’s extensive feud.
During an appearance on the 7PM in Brooklyn podcast with Carmelo Anthony, Ja made multiple mentions of the Iceman artist, as well as of his own longstanding feud with 50 Cent. Asked what he might say to Drake if he were advising him at this point, Ja declined to offer any would-be examples.
“Why I gotta advise Drake?” he first said, laughing. “Why can’t I advise Kendrick?”
Then, Ja gave a succinct explanation of why he believes advice isn’t needed.
“Drake don’t need no advice,” he said in the episode, shared Nov. 10. “Drake is rich, got a big ass plane. Have you seen his plane? What we talking about Drake for, man? That n***a chilling, man.”
Elsewhere, Ja compared Drake’s “unprecedented” run to that of the late Michael Jackson, whose biopic is slated for next year. He also spoke about what he sees as the negative impact of beefs at large, including his own.
“You look at Kendrick and Drake, nothing good is coming out of any of these things,” he argued. “Like, me and 50’s shit, that shit fucked up New York hip-hop. It really did.”
Iceman, which will mark Drake’s first solo full-length since the Kendrick feud broke out, is expected to be eyeing a release before year’s end.
