Clipse shared their initial reactions to seeing their Complex magazine cover in print at ComplexCon 2025.
The group, who also took over the stage at ComplexCon, sat down with Jordan Rose to see their magazine cover in person and give their thoughts.
“Too official,” said Pusha T, with a smile, when asked about how he felt seeing it. “Brotherhood. You’re just looking at brotherhood personified. This is what it is.”
Malice hopped in to give his thoughts afterwards. “I think of the Blue Man group because we don’t do no extra talking,” said Malice with a grin.
After covering their first thoughts, the group spoke with Rose about who they think should be rap’s MVP this year.
“Malice got MVP, easy,” said Push, before his brother could respond. Instead of hogging the spotlight, Malice nudged the accolade to their group.
“I’ll take it, but it’s Clipse forever,” added Malice, prompting Push to add on one last quip. “If y’all find room for me, it’s all good,” he added — suggesting he’d love to be considered co-MVP.
Next up, the topic of who Clipse believes had the best albums of the year came up, inspiring the brothers to agree that Tyler, the Creator’s Don’t Tap The Glass and Playboi Carti’s MUSIC were their favorites (they named Kendrick Lamar’s GNX as a favorite as well — but the LP came out last November).
The Clipse ended their conversation with Rose by hinting that they’re working on new music to release sooner than later — so be on the lookout for what’s next after Let God Sort Em Out.
