Dame Dash just lost a multi-million dollar lawsuit to one of his old enemies.
TMZ reports that Dash was recently hit with a $4 million default judgment in a defamation suit against him filed by filmmaker Josh Webber in 2024.
In the lawsuit, Webber claimed that he missed out on a $4 million producing and directing gig because of defamatory comments that Dash made about him during a podcast appearance. Dash relayed to the podcast hosts that he believed Webber stole from him in regard to their dispute over the film Dear Frank.
"I had a judgment. And I knew this dickhead Chris Brown and Josh Webber and Muddy Waters ... Chris Brown the lawyer. I went through four trials with the same lawyer ... What I lost was defamation because these guys trigger me and steal my shit... you think there is freedom of speech, it's really not,” said Dame, according to Webber.
In the legal battle that Webber was referencing, Dash had to pay Webber and the Dear Frank movie producers over $800,000 after losing film rights.
According to Webber, Dash’s comment (in relation to his defamation suit) amassed hundreds of thousands of views, leading to a lucrative film gig being canceled because of the allegations.
It seems like Dash’s loose lips are going to cost him big time. Although 50 Cent and Dash have been going back and forth because of the latter’s critical comments about Fif’s deal with Eminem’s Shady Records, 50 Cent posted about Dash having a big mouth — but also gave his media network a shoutout.
“Dame run his mouth to much but check out America Nu. I don’t like the shit he said but I don’t care to see him fvcked up!” Fif wrote.
“Type in ‘America’ and type in ‘N-u.’ Give it a shot. See where all the money is—this is why I’m broke,” Fif added.
