Tony Yayo has made it clear he wouldn't bet against himself if he were ever to face off against Memphis Bleek in a Verzuz matchup.
Speaking in a new VladTV interview, the platform's eponymous host asked the G-Unit rapper who would win between him and the Roc-A-Fella icon if they were ever to go head-to-head.
Unimpressed by the question, Yayo rolled his eyes and told Vlad to "get the fuck outta here."
"I know a lot of n***as look at Yayo as the underdog, but when you hear me on like freestyles and mixtapes — I went to jail for a year and half when shit started to pop, so you know the politics of the game, we was the most hated," Yayo explained, referring to his 2003 to mid 2004 incarceration due to a weapons possession charge and a subsequent bail-jumping charge.
"It's cool. But n***as know I'll show up and show out on a Verzuz. C'mon, bro, you can't be serious. Nah. Nah. Nah," Yayo added.
Doubling down on his belief that Bleek couldn't defeat him in a Verzuz, Yayo pointed to the success of his 2005 hit "So Seductive," as well as Thoughts of a Predicate Felon album cut "Pimpin'," and how both tracks still get played all over the world.
"When you worldwide and can go overseas, it's different," he explained. "There's levels! I'm just keeping it real. So for me, I'm going on my own tours. Germany, Switzerland, Swiss Alps. I'm going to Canada. I'm filling up Toronto, Saskatoon, Thunder Bay, name anywhere in Canada, every club was filled out — selling merch on my own because of the G-Unit brand...What do I have to prove to n***as!?"
Last month, Bleek appeared on Drink Champs, where he addressed comments Yayo made earlier in the year comparing Bleek's relationship with Jay-Z to his own bond with 50 Cent. Yayo had suggested that 50 looked out for him more than Hov did for Bleek.
"I seen something Tony Yayo said, Hov don't look out for me like 50 look out for him. I just want to clear that up, Hov don't have to," Bleek said. "I'm chewing a lot on my own. If Hov look out, I'm telling you, I'll be up there. So when y'all see me out here, that's the Blizzo budget. I just want to let n***as know Hov don't have to."
Yayo originally stirred the pot during an episode of Million Dollaz Worth of Game, where he questioned whether Jay-Z and Bleek truly shared the same level of loyalty he has with 50 Cent.
"It's a difference. Jay-Z, never really like…Memphis Bleek, you would say he was his friend, but it was different for us. Me and 50 was more friends," Yayo said. "I'm not saying them n***as wasn't friends, but when you look at me and Fif… I feel like me and Fif have more of a friendship because Jay-Z is more business."
Yayo has long credited 50 for looking out for him over the years, especially when it comes to life on tour, implying other artists don't do the same.
"There's a little jealousy there," Yayo said in his latest interview with VladTV.
Complex recently relaunched Verzuz at ComplexCon 2025 through an exclusive partnership, with Cash Money Records and No Limit Records that took place in Las Vegas last month.
