On Sunday evening local time, a strong earthquake struck the Indonesian island of Lombok, resulting in at least 37 deaths, according to CNN. Model and TV host Chrissy Teigen—who's currently vacationing with Legend and their children in nearby Bali, just west of Lombok—witnessed the catastrophe.
Teigen live-tweeted her experience and remained safe during and after the earthquake.
CNN reports that the 6.9 magnitude quake also resulted in an electrical blackout and forced hundreds of people out of their homes to seek higher ground. The full extent of the damage has not completely been assessed.
Last week, another earthquake with a magnitude of 6.4 hit Lombok, killing 16 people. Teigen tweeted about that experience as well.
