An insane clip from the reality series La Isla de Las Tentaciones, the Spanish version of Temptation Island, is going viral thanks to one guy's operatic reaction to seeing his girlfriend cheat on him in real time.
As seen in the clip below, which has been circulating on social media this week, contestant José Carlos Montoya was shown live footage of his girlfriend Anita kissing and then having sex with another man. In just two minutes, we see Montoya go through the five stages of grief. He initially refuses to believe what he's seeing, then screams and drops to his knees.
He then sprints across the beach, assumedly to try and stop what's happening as his girlfriend straddles another man. "Montoya, por favor," the host yells as Montoya runs away in panic, a moment that has already cemented the poor guy's legacy in reality TV history.
The show, which is all about trying to get couples to cheat on one another by putting them in a vacation resort with plenty of attractive young people, raises some ethical questions. But Montoya and his girlfriend knew what they signed up for, and they've birthed a meme that transcends language with the type of betrayal people used to go to the theater for.
Is Montoya entirely innocent? Well, he received a lapdance from another woman earlier in the season, for what it's worth.
