In honor of the August 8 release of the rebooted and revamped Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles movie, we're throwing it back (way, way back) to the glory days of TMNT. Back in the late 80's and 90's, there was a plethora of awesome toys available for avid turtles fans. From the Pizza Thrower to the Technodrome, we've amassed a list of the ultimate Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles toys that every '90s kid coveted.
2.Turtle Blimp Wacky Attack Aircraft (1988)
This thing blows up to 30 inches long, which is huge considering that's probably more than half your height at 8 years old.
3.Retro Catapult (1989)
Your mom only let you have this one because the Retromutagen Ooze is "rug-resistant."
4.Sewer Party Tube (1989)
This floatable tube "doubles as a great party platform after a hard day's night of foot patrols" and has a detachable Footnet designed to keep beverages cold.
5.Double Barreled Plunger Gun (1989)
The legend behind this toy is that it was manufactured as a makeshift gun from a gas-burning water heater, an abandoned aircraft gun, and plungers from the sewer, designed to help the Turtles keep mutants at bay.
6.Flushomatic (1989)
This "High-Tech Toilet Torture Trap" is perfect for those times you feel like torturing your action figures with Retromutagen Ooze.
7.Pizza Thrower (1989)
Surely, plenty of pets were terrorized with this one.
8.Knucklehead Attack 'n Grab Foot Machine (1988)
One of those toys for the kid who always got stuck playing the villain.
9.Michaelangelo's Sewer Exploration Belt (1990)
This utility belt includes a compass, tongs, and a detachable secret compartment. Now that's wearable technology.
10.Technodrome (1990)
The Giant Doubledecker Mobile Fortress is perfect for when you need to store all of those pieces that actually belong to other toy sets, but you have no idea where those other sets went because you probably left them at your play-date's house.
11.Mini-Mutants Party Wagon Playset (1995)
The party wagon opens to reveal a miniature sewer world inside, complete with sewer pipes, study rooms, a "samurai trainin' room," and escape routes.
12.Cheapskate (1988)
This "radical, street-legal skateboard" is powered by pizza, includes a bonus National Turtles Quiz Jokebook, and comes with a sewer searchlight on the front so that you can use it to search for your other Ninja Turtles toys that fell behind the couch.
13.Movie III Samurai Fun Set: Samurai Raph (1993)
The box emphasizes in all caps that this samurai set is "SAFE" and "SOFT." You know, just in case you were actually thinking of giving your kid real samurai gear.
14.Pizza Powered Turtle Prop (1994)
According to the back of the box, once you strap your favorite Ninja Turtle into the seat and pull the retractable ripcord, it "soars through the sausage soaked skies".
15.Sumo Raphael (1995)
When you press the button on the back of his shell, Raphael's hair spins around. Additional accessories that were available for purchase include sumo sandals and a sumo blade that's "great for belly cuttin'!"
16.Ninja Shooter Leonardo (1995)
The sole purpose of The Marble Blastin' Belly Boy is to shoot marbles, and it's fun to play with even if it doesn't seem to have much to do with the actual Ninja Turtles.
