Martin Scorsese is clearly a makeup guru.
Over the weekend, the filmmaker’s daughter, Francesca, posted a “get ready with me” makeup video on TikTok, narrated by her famous father. The almost two-minute clip shows the 24-year-old looking into the camera as she preps her skin with skincare, while Martin speculates what she could be doing.
“She’s painting her face,” he says as she applies concealer, and when she starts blending it with a sponge, he adds, “Patting, a great deal of patting going on.”
She continues, doing her eyebrows, to which he says, “Oh look, she’s darkening them. I don’t know if she needs to do that.” Then, when she curls her eyelashes, he exclaims, “Ah, my god, she’s taking her eye out! Oh my God, stop that. Oh my God.”
The father and daughter are together while Scorsese narrates the TikTok, and Francesca can be heard in the background saying, ”You told me I did too much,” while she lines her lips in the video. “Yeah, that is too much, I’m afraid,” he responds.
When she pulls out Fenty Beauty lip gloss, the 81-year-old jokes, “That, you can’t fool me, is nail polish.” He ends the video, noting, “You kids are crazy. I swear.”
Martin shares Francesca with his fifth and current wife, producer Helen Morris. He also has two other daughters, 58-year-old Cathy and 48-year-old Domenica. He shares Cathy with his first wife and college sweetheart, Laraine Marie Brennan, and Domenica with his second wife, journalist Julia Cameron.
