Sophie Rain filled shopping carts and cleared shelves in a five-hour Walmart trip to fulfill unclaimed Angel Tree holiday gift tags.
"We’re so glad to be able to give back like this," she said in a video shared online. "When we saw all the forgotten angels on the trees, we had to do the entire tree because we didn’t want anyone to go without a gift this Christmas."
Rain and her friend Piper Rockelle used multiple carts and gift wish cards to shop for children of all ages.
"We’re not shopping for anyone specific today," she said. "We’re shopping for the forgotten angels, which helps anyone that didn’t get picked or anyone at homeless shelters in need of a gift."
They purchased educational toys, books, digital cameras, crafts, and games.
"When I was younger, I couldn’t afford the Barbie Dream House, so when I saw this in Walmart, I had to get it," she said. "I also saw the camper... but it was so heavy I kept dropping it."
The group packed their carts with items including tripods and classic children’s books like Goodnight Moon and The Very Hungry Caterpillar.
They said checkout took nearly an hour and required three separate transactions due to Walmart’s item limit.
"We had six or seven carts completely filled," Rain said. "The final total was $5,370, but the smiles on the children’s faces will be priceless."
She thanked her followers directly, "Of course, we have the biggest thank you to you guys because we could not do this without you. You’re amazing and we’re so proud of you."
Fans took to the comments to praise Rain for her giving efforts.
“So happy people are using their money for good things. thank you guys for doing this they’re gonna be so happy,” one fan penned in the TikTok comments.
Another added, "At least they’re using their money for good. That’s all that matters."
"So happy that you’re using your money for good. This is such a good thing to do well done," a third penned.
Rain ended the video by encouraging others to give what they can during the holiday season.
