Flyysoulja, one-half of twin rap duo Island Boys, pointed to drugs as the reason for his recent psychotic episode and detainment.

TMZ reported that the rapper and social media influencer was taken to a Miami-area facility for a mental health evaluation over the weekend after being detained under Florida's Baker Act.

The law is intended for individuals to be placed in temporary custody for involuntary psychiatric evaluation if they're a threat to themselves or others, or unable to care for themselves.

Following the 72-hour period, Flyysoulja was released, and while on Instagram Live on Wednesday (Nov. 12), he detailed what led to his detainment. The 24-year-old said the drug-induced episode came after he took "multiple substances like pills."

"In the psychosis, I was trying to find something for my hair for hours, and destroyed the home while unknowingly being on Live," he explained.

The rapper also shared his relief for receiving help because he has a "substance issue, not a mental problem."

"I never said I was suicidal," he continued.

Flyysoulja, however, said his rights were violated and accused police of entering his home without a warrant. The personality also claimed that authorities mistook nail polish on the floor of the home as blood.

Influencer KaylaThayla, who shares a child with Flyysoulja, claimed in a separate video that she didn't know how much his mental condition had worsened until visiting his home to pick up her pets. It was then that she learned Flyysoulja was detained.

Flyysoulja's twin brother and fellow Island Boys member Kodiyakredd also expressed frustration with the detainment and notified fans that he would be picking his brother up from the hospital.
