Nick Cannon has admitted that there was a time in his life when he didn't romanticize having an overly sexually adventurous wife or serious partner.

The topic of sex, particularly threesomes, in a long-term relationship was discussed on the Wednesday (November 26) episode of his podcast, Nick Cannon @ Night. The entertainer and media personality, who was married to Mariah Carey from 2008 to 2016, explained that he used to be disinterested in participating in "super freaky stuff" with a "wife or life partner."

"Because now I'm judging your ass," Cannon said (around the 20-minute mark in the video below), clarifying that it used to be his thought process. "I'm in therapy now, but I can be honest enough to say I didn't want my wife to be a freak. I didn't want to do threesomes with my wife."

Cannon added that he formerly had a 'Madonna-whore complex,' a psychological term for perceiving a woman as either pure and chaste, or promiscuous and unworthy of respect.

"Like, no, I want my wife to be my wife and I can get the threesomes elsewhere," Cannon continued, adding: "Men grow out of that stage."

"I don't think men always desire threesomes and the streets," Cannon said. "But even in that sense, I think everybody matures and probably wants a little slower lifestyle."

Cannon, who has 12 children among multiple women, previously discussed his lengthy "body count" on Nick Cannon @ Night and shared that he doesn't know the number of women he's hooked up with.

"We joke, we have fun... But I think a person's history is important. I wanna know everything. I don't need to know the exact number. I lost count a long time ago," Cannon said in a July episode. "But I would like to know a little bit. At least from college forward."
