Chris Webby might be a new school rap kid, but his gaming selection screams old school. He’s even inked up with game tats to prove his loyalty. That’s a real commitment right there. It’s no surprise though, since the Connecticut born and bred rapper/producer will drop some cartoon references in his rhymes from time to time. He’s in it to win it, clearly. While en route to Atlanta, Chris provides his ten favorite video games, from past to present.

Super Smash Brothers

Honestly, there’s no better party game in the world. You wanna get four people playing something where everybody has a good time? Super Smash Brothers. Great fuckin’ game.

God Of War 3

Really dope, because I think mythology is interesting and what-not. You’re really just this badass dude who kills all of the Greek gods because they’re against you. You have to fight Hercules and rip his head off. Really badass, super violent, with a twist of mythology. Definitely cool to me.

Crash Bandicoot

Crash Bandicoot was a really good game. So simple, but so awesome. I remember when Playstation came out, that was the game to have. It was either Nintendo 64 with Mario or Playstation with Crash Bandicoot. I was a Nintendo 64 dude, but I gotta give Crash Bandicoot respect. That motherfucker was fun, man. That was a fun game.

Contra

Up Up, Down Down, Left Right, Left Right, A B, Select. I think that’s what it was. I did it recently and had to look up the code. That’s the most famous code in video game history. That game is literally impossible without that code. You won’t make it past the third level. There’s one bullet and then you die. No one knows what the fuck you’re playing; those guys are running around looking like football players. Then they explode when you shoot them, and it doesn’t really make all that much sense. But that was a classic. I had a lot of fun nights with that.

Zelda Ocarina Of Time

That game was nuts! I remember playing it as a kid on Nintendo 64 and then got it again on the 3D Nintendo 3DS. I think Zelda Ocarina of Time brings back a lot of childhood memories for a lot of people.

Donkey Kong Country

…on Super Nintendo. I remember I got that when I graduated Kindergarten, I think. That game is just awesome. I still have more room on my skin’ Donkey Kong might be on there sooner or later.

Red Dead Redemption

It’s like Grand Theft Auto in the Wild, Wild West. It’s fuckin’ awesome.

Mass Effect 3

It’s pretty nerdy in terms of like the fact that what happens in Mass Effect 3 is determined by the decisions you made in Mass Effect 2. You choose your own fate; like, characters can die in ME2 and they won’t be in ME3. I’m just super wrapped up in that right now. I was pissed I that I couldn’t find a PS3 carrier to bring it with me [to Atlanta]. I’m gonna have to take a couple weeks off from it and that sucks. I put in like 40-50 hours so far. It’s slightly embarrassing, but that’s fine with me.

Grand Theft Auto: Vice City

That game completely changed the world of video games. Something about Vice City though, just the vibe of it. We used to stay up beat that game like ten times throughout middle school and early high school years. I know Vice City like the back of my hand.

Super Mario Bros.

This game set the tone; it made video games poppin’. [Mario] is still relevant how many years later? I just finished my Super Mario sleeve that goes all the way from my left shoulder all the way down to my wrist. I have pretty much every character from Mario tattooed on my arm. Mario definitely means a lot to me.
