Ciara is flaunting her post-baby body—and getting real about it.
The multi-hyphenate shares three children with her husband, NFL player Russell Wilson: Sienna Princess, Win Harrison, and Amora Princess. She also has a son, Future Zahir Wilburn, with rapper Future.
Taking to Instagram on Wednesday, August 6, Ciara opened up about her "skinhibitions" since welcoming four kids in 11 years. Daughter Amora was born in December 2023.
The entertainer boldly showed off one aspect of her shape she’s not so confident about, the stretch marks on her sides. She wanted to shine a light on this common skin issue that so many women deal with, whether or not they come from pregnancy, weight gain, or loss.
“We all have moments when we don’t feel great about our skin - I’m no different,” she began. “I’ve been seeing SO many conversations lately feeling like we have to cover up or hide.”
In the photo, the entertainer is showing off a series of stretch marks, mom badges that typically occur after giving birth. She continued, “What holds you back from showing your skin? I’m working on a new project with a brand that I really respect, and I’d love some inspo from the strong women I follow and who follow me.”
Ciara’s followers were quick to respond to her remarks, sharing their own body image stories. “Stretch marks are gorgeous and sacred. No matter the reason why you have them is a part of your body and a reminder that our body is so powerful that transforms for you or you and your baby,” wrote one follower.
“Geez!!! Why do her stretch marks even look good!” asked a second fan. A third wrote,”Looking good my queen!”
Ciara spoke of how she’s currently leaning into a more spiritual side, rather than focusing on outward appearance. In an interview with L’OFFICIEL, she said, “I believe in living life with the heart of forgiveness, because I don’t want to have spiritual debt. But I will never forget. My joy is really important to me."
