For the latest example of this meme in action, we turn to Adin Ross.

In a livestream over the weekend (you can see it starting at about the 44 minute mark here), the wealthy streamer made a point to let everyone know how awful he thinks billionaires are.

The moment began with him listening to Billie Eilish, at the Wall Street Journal Magazine Innovator Awards, explaining why she was giving away a portion of the proceeds from her Hit Me Heard and Soft Tour to support philanthropic organizations.

After the singer ended her announcement, she urged the billionaires in the room — reportedly including Mark Zuckerberg — to donate as well.

“If you’re a billionaire, why are you a billionaire?,” she said. “No hate, but yeah, give your money away, shorties.”

Ross responded to the video by applauding the singer for her philanthropy, then decided to explain what he doesn't like about billionaires.

"If you're a billionaire, you're most likely not a good person in the first place," said Ross during a livestream. "Guys, in order to become a billionaire, you have to fuck people over. You have to create a big enough product. You have to be stingy. It's very hard to become a billionaire."

"Look into it," Ross continued. "To become a billionaire, you have to be a piece of shit. I'd be way richer if I didn't give a fuck about you guys. If I didn't do giveaways, and all of this shit. I'll never become a billionaire."

The streamer's comments come about a month after he revealed that he regretted supporting a billionaire, President Donald Trump, during the last campaign cycle.

“Now that I look back on it, I really, really wish I never got into politics,” Ross said during a stream. “So many people just tie me to it, and no matter what, they don’t even get to know who I am. I don’t think I’ll ever care enough again for any other politician. At the end of the day, we’re all humans. That stuff is just way out of pocket.”

Last year, Ross gave Trump, who per Forbes has a net worth of $7.3 billion, a Rolex watch and a Tesla Cybertruck. After learning that his gifts possibly broke campaign regulations, Ross ended up taking back the watch and giving it to Trump's son Barron instead.
