Hard-fought victories often come with a cost that makes you wonder if the win was even worth it. That’s what IShowSpeed probably pondered after he beat NBA champion Jaylen Brown in a race — one that made the streamer pull his hamstring.

The two raced as a part of Speed’s Speed Does America livestream tour. After linking up in Boston and talking about Speed’s insane outfit that looked straight out of the Revolutionary War, Speed brought up the fact that Brown had suggested he’d beat him in a race in August.

Instead of backing down on his claim, Brown stood on what he said and even gave Speed a special rule. “If I beat you, you gotta change your name to something other than 'speed,'” said Brown.

Their brief race didn’t last long. Speed outsprinted the NBA champion to cross the finish line first. Instead of being able to celebrate his dub, the streamer immediately fell to the ground. He held the back of his leg while explaining what happened to everyone around him.

“I pulled my hammie and I still won,” he said. “Let’s go though, chat. W’s in the stream.”

Though Speed was physically hurt, Brown had to be emotionally hurt after the loss. Back in August, the NBA star boldly declared to PlaqueBoyMax during a streaming session that he’d wipe the floor with Speed in a race.

"Speed's not beating me in a race, I don't care what nobody says," said Brown. “Chat, I’m rolling Speed, I’m rolling him up.”

Speed’s new tour has been a never-ending stream of legendary moments. In one of the latest viral clips, the streamer linked up with Lil Uzi Vert in New York to hop on skateboards and talk about music leaks.

In one surprising turn, Speed played an unreleased Uzi track he referred to as “a banger” that sampled the 2004 record “Yo Voy” by Zion & Lennox featuring Daddy Yankee.

Days before that, Speed visited an Amish town and expressed genuine concern when he learned that a server had no clue who the legendary soccer player, and Speed’s idol, Cristiano Ronaldo was.
