Stefon Diggs has sparked new rumors that he and Cardi B secretly married, thanks to an interesting choice of words in a new video.
In a video from the New England Patriots’ Spanish media team, Diggs received a hoodie with the word “Español” on the front, along with the team’s logo. Appreciative of the gift, Diggs decided to respond in Spanish. “Patriots Español, gracias,” he said. “Yo quiero uno más…for mi esposa.” To translate, Diggs asked for “one more” hoodie for his “wife.” Intentional word choice? Could be. Or, he could have just said the word endearingly.
Diggs ended his response with another request. “Actually, give me two. A mini one,” he concluded — referring to their newborn son who arrived earlier this month.
It was the birth of their son that first sent rumors swirling that the two were engaged. In the first photos of their child, whom she nicknamed Baby Brim, shared to Instagram, Cardi’s ring finger can be seen sporting a hefty rock on top.
Though it looks like an engagement ring, TMZ confirmed through its sources that it isn’t.
In the post announcing the birth of their son, Cardi expressed her excitement for a new chapter in her life.
“My last chapter was the beginning of a new season,” she wrote. “Starting over is never easy but it’s been so worth it! I brought new music and a new album to the world! A new baby into my world, and one more reason to be the best version of me, one more reason to love me more than anything else or anyone else so I can continue giving my babies the love and life they deserve."
Ahead of their child’s birth, Diggs revealed to People that he was excited to bring a kid into the world with Cardi. "I can’t wait to make him do push-ups and sit-ups and run around,” he joked.
