Jordan Brand has given Orlando Magic's first-time All-Star Paolo Banchero his own PE colorway of the Jordan Heir Series hoops shoe.
Unlike traditional PE styles, the brand confirmed that Banchero's Heir Series is actually releasing to the public on Feb. 17 at Jordan.com and at select retailers. The sneaker pays homage to Banchero's journey to the NBA and honors his mother and grandmother. The light blue color scheme on the upper references the uniforms he wore during the Seattle Rotary Select Basketball program, while his signature logo is embroidered on the tongue.
"The Heir Series is special because it proves that greatness has no limits—no matter who you are,” Banchero said. "I’m proud to help Jordan Brand uplift and celebrate women in sports while also wearing a shoe that stands for both performance and purpose. To have my Player Edition be part of the movement is an honor."
The Jordan Heir Series was introduced in October and is a performance basketball shoe designed based on insights from the women’s game, but made for all hoopers.
