Adidas has announced that it has signed a multi-year contract extension with Kansas City Chiefs star quarterback Patrick Mahomes.
In the press release provided by the Three Stripes today, it was confirmed that the new deal includes opportunities for Mahomes to expand into the Adidas Golf brand in the future, but further details weren't shared. It's also worth mentioning that the terms of the extension weren't revealed.
Mahomes first signed with Adidas in 2017 after being drafted into the NFL and signing with the Chiefs. Mahomes released his first signature Mahomes 1 Impact FLX training shoe in 2021 and then the Mahomes 2 in 2024.
The partnership between Mahomes and Adidas also extended to his alma mater, Texas Tech University, when the school inked a 10-year deal in 2024 to be the official sponsor. As part of the deal, the duo also launched an NIL initiative called Team Mahomes, which included six student-athletes across various sports to be signed with the brand.
