For his 21st and likely final NBA season, Chris Paul is reuniting with the Los Angeles Clippers.

As reported by Shams Charania for ESPN, the 40-year-old free agent point guard has agreed to a one-year deal with the Clippers, with whom he previously played from 2011 to 2017. The deal was confirmed by CAA's Steven Heumann, Ty Sullivan, and Jessica Holtz. Before news of the deal broke, Paul was reportedly looking at heading to either the Milwaukee Bucks or the Charlotte Hornets.

In a discussion on The Pat McAfee Show, Paul said he wanted to play his 21st season in Los Angeles because his family is based there. The move will also reunite Paul with his former Houston Rockets teammate, James Harden. The details of the deal have not been made public.

Paul, who was drafted fourth overall by the New Orleans Hornets in 2005, most recently played with the San Antonio Spurs, during which he participated in all 82 games. That makes him the first player in NBA history to play 82 games in their 20th or later season.
