AEW star Kiera Hogan is stepping into reality TV, joining the cast of Joseline’s Cabaret: California, which premiered its sixth season on the Zeus Network on August 3.
Wrestling Inc. had a chance to check out her on-screen introduction, where Hogan—who goes by the stage name “The Hottest Flame”—said that professional wrestling was always a platform to raise her profile and a “stepping stone” toward opportunities beyond the ring.
Joseline’s Cabaret: California centers on creator and host Joseline Hernandez, the former Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta star known as “The Puerto Rican Princess.” The show had previously filmed seasons in Miami, FL, Atlanta, GA, Las Vegas, NV, and New York, NY, as well as various parts of Texas and Mexico (for the fifth season, titled Joseline's Cabaret: Texas).
The show follows Hernandez as she mentors and trains a group of dancers competing for spots in her cabaret production. Across the season, Hernandez evaluates the performers, narrows the field to those she believes best fit the show, and ultimately selects a winner to receive a cash prize. The format’s high-stakes audition process has consistently led to tense competition among cast members, which remains a core element of the series.
For Hogan, the move comes amid a pause in in-ring activity. She has not appeared on AEW television since February 2024, and there are some suggestions that she may not return anytime soon.
During her AEW tenure, Hogan faced several of the promotion’s top women’s division talents, including Toni Storm, Julia Hart, and Skye Blue.
The California-set season brings a fresh backdrop to the franchise, with Hernandez leading a new lineup of contestants and showcasing her mentorship style on camera. The filming took place in San Diego, California, Oakland, California, Las Vegas, Nevada, and Los Angeles, California.
