Karrueche Tran just added another breadcrumb to the rumor trail.
The 37-year-old actress liked Deion Sanders’ Instagram post on Tuesday, August 12, as the 58-year-old Colorado head coach continues recovering from bladder cancer surgery earlier this year.
Sanders’ caption read, “Lord I thank u for the times it was just u and I & I cried out to u with no hesitation because I trust u in every possible manor [sic] there is to Trust.”
Tran’s social move follows her appearance in YouTube videos documenting his health journey. In a July 28 clip filmed at the hospital, she told viewers through tears, “We are dealing with bladder cancer. He is having his bladder removed.”
A video posted the following day showed Tran helping the NFL Hall of Famer out of bed and guiding him down the hallway after the successful procedure, which took place on May 9. A doctor can be heard telling Tran, “If you need anything let me know,” underscoring her role during his immediate recovery.
The public timeline intensified speculation that the two are more than friends. Earlier this year, the pair were seen together at lunch, according to TMZ. None of the parties has commented on the status of their relationship.
Sanders publicly addressed his diagnosis during a press conference at the University of Colorado on July 28.
“This wasn’t easy,” he said, urging, “Men, everybody, get checked out. Because if it wasn’t for me getting tested for something else, they wouldn’t have stumbled upon this.” He added that he lost “about 25 pounds” and called the experience “a tremendous journey.”
He was candid about the aftermath: “Dealing with the catheter… Right now I’m still dealing with going to the bathroom. It’s a whole life change. I’m going to be transparent, I can’t pee like I used to pee.”
Dr. Janet Kukreja, director of urological oncology at the university, said Sanders was “cured.” He’s expected to be on the sideline when Colorado opens the 2025 season at home against Georgia Tech on August 29.
