Miami Dolphins outside linebackers coach Ryan Crow is facing serious legal trouble after being arrested in Fort Lauderdale on a domestic battery charge.

According to Broward County jail records obtained by CBS News, the 37-year-old assistant coach was taken into custody late last month after police responded to reports of a disturbance near the 200 block of South Federal Highway.

Crow is accused of shoving a woman he lives with during an argument that reportedly centered around past relationships.

A probable cause affidavit reviewed in court detailed witness accounts of the incident. One person said they saw Crow holding the woman “as if he was going to perform a takedown,” with her legs off the ground while he whispered into her ear. Another witness described Crow “throwing slaps and trying to grapple the victim.” Police said the woman declined medical treatment and refused to provide a statement.

Crow has subsequently appeared before a judge, where bond was set at $1,000. As conditions of his release, he must avoid alcohol and undergo a substance abuse evaluation within 10 days. He was also ordered to stay away from the alleged victim.

The Dolphins acknowledged the arrest in a statement: “We are aware of the serious matter involving Ryan Crow and currently gathering more information. Ryan has been placed on administrative leave effective immediately. We have been in communication with the NFL and will reserve further comment at this time.”

Crow joined the Miami Dolphins staff in 2024 after spending six seasons with the Tennessee Titans, where he worked his way up from defensive assistant to outside linebackers coach. During his time in Tennessee, he helped guide the defense to multiple top-half finishes against the run.

The case remains open as Crow awaits further legal proceedings. He has not yet publicly commented on the matter.
