Jalen Hurts is officially the latest face of Wheaties, the iconic "Breakfast of Champions." The Philadelphia Eagles quarterback is being honored with his own limited-edition box, joining a legacy of athletes whose influence extends beyond the field.

"Wheaties was a staple in my childhood,” he said in a statement accompanying the press release announcement of the limited-edition box. “To go from grabbing a bowl of Wheaties and following the icons on the box to now being featured myself is truly humbling and surreal."

Wheaties has been celebrating athletes for over a century, beginning with Lou Gehrig in 1934. The orange box is reserved for stars who dominate in their sport and make a lasting impact in their communities.

Emilie Knox, Vice President and Business Unit Director for Wheaties, explained why Hurts was chosen: “Jalen is the true embodiment of a Wheaties Champion — paying forward the lessons he learned from mentors who guided his journey to uplift the next generation. That spirit of resilience and giving back is exactly why we’re so proud to feature him on the cover.”

Hurts’ story reflects that resilience. Drafted in the second round in 2020, he overcame early doubts to become the Eagles’ starting quarterback. His leadership brought the team to the Big Game in 2023 and again in 2025, when he captured his first championship and was named Super Bowl MVP. His accolades include All-Pro honors and the Bert Bell Professional Player of the Year award in 2022.

Just as important as his play is his commitment off the field. Through the Jalen Hurts Foundation, he has donated $200,000 to Philadelphia schools, funding over 300 air-conditioning units to improve classroom conditions.

He also supports patients at the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia and advocates for girls and women in sports, efforts that earned him recognition as the 2024 Philadelphia Citizen of the Year.

This year has already been significant for Hurts — earlier this year, he was named to the TIME 100 list of Most Influential People, celebrated alongside figures like Serena Williams and Snoop Dogg.
