The Rock, Stone Cold, Mankind these are some of the wrestlers that a lot of our Complex generation grew up watching and imitating on trampolines nationwide. For many children Monday became bearable because when the school day ended Raw was destined to be on that night's tube complete with grown men in spandex solving their problems, not with boring math or science, but with 2x4s and ladder matches.

So what became of those men (and women) who gave us the only type of drama a teen in the '90s could enjoy (sorry Party of Five)? The majority of commentators may roll their eyes and laugh at the sport's "authenticity" but your eyes don't lie some of those moves indeed, hurt like shit. The short answer of what happened is: not much good. But the long(er) answer is why we bring you this update on Your Favorite WWE Stars From the '90s.

Chyna

Years active in the WWE: 1997-2011

Believe it or not, she's having sex for money. After seeing that before pic that seems like an impossibility but we can assure you it's true. She slowly slid down the cultural ladder from 3rd Rock From the Sun to Celebrity Fear Factor to Celebrity Boxing and, inevitably, Backdoor to China. You could argue she ventured even lower by doing Celebrity Rehab with Dr. Drew.

The porn initially started when her and her on-again, off-again former fiancé Sean Waltman (X-Pac) shopped a homemade adult flick around in 2004 eventually selling it to Red Light District Video. A few months later she was arrested for beating Waltman up and then a few days after that she got drunk and jumped into a fish tank at an NYC nightclub.

Normall that would be a wake-up call that it's time to get clean and figure shit out, but she unfortunately (for all of us) ventured into porn full-time with Vivid Pictures and even teamed up with porn legend, Evan Stone. When you're bent over in a SoCal basement decked out in full makeup as She-Hulk in an X-Rated Avengers parody you have officially bottomed out. So in a life marred with spotty decisions what was her next step? To star in the spin-off She-Hulk XXX.

There may be hope (though probably not) that she can get her act together. According to our friends at Bleacher Reportshe has become such a mess that she passed out at a damn porn convention. How big of a wreck do you have to be when porn stars are looking the other way in embarrassment? Amanda Bynes would seem like she just completed finishing school compared to Chyna. But she's apparently teaching English in Japan and that's a step towards not being another wrestler dead before their 50th birthday.

Sid Vicious

Years active in the WWE: 1991-1997

Psycho Sid Vicious (a.k.a. Sidney Eudy) appeared in a bodybuilding contest at the age of 51. You may think it was a midlife crisis but (with the exception of his quads) he was looking pretty sliced.

Another event of note occurred last year when Eudy no-showed an event in a New Jersey independent league. He backed out at the last second so the promoter of the event gave Sid's phone number to the 700 disappointed in attendance and encouraged them to voice their displeasure to the washed up icon personally via an annoying voicemail.

According to his son Gunnar, Sid was recently hospitalized for several days with "heart problems." His other son (Frank) was a cast member on Big Brother 14. He came in seventh place but was voted "America's Favorite Houseguest" and won $25,000.

Road Dogg

Years active in the WWE: 1994-2011

Road Dogg's had a lot of problems with substance abuse, having been sent to rehab by the WWE several times and eventually fired for literally failing to keep his nose clean. He claimed he'd saved none of his money and even contemplated suicide. He's apparently rehabbed himself enough for the WWE to take another chance on him as he was resigned and is now part of the revamped 'New Age Outlaws' with Billy Gunn.

Shawn Michaels

Years active in the WWE: 1988-2010

Michaels is a born again Christian who has become a bible teacher in San Antonio. He appeared on a Trinity Broadcasting Network broadcast with Sting. On top of that he created his own signature watch, "The Showstopper" and is an avid hunter. He's an outdoorsman through and through and also, if you care, he and his wife homeschool their two children. You can also catch him on MacMillan River Adventures on the Outdoor Channel. The third season conveniently begins tonight.

Brian "Crush" Adams

Years active in the WWE: 1990-1997

Crush retired from wrestling after a spine surgery, though successful, forced him to stop being slammed on a mat thousands of times a year. After all paralysis is nothing to fuck with. This led Adams into a second career as a boxer with hype man Randy Savage (though pro boxers don't usually have hype men Adams reciprocated by being the head of Savage's security team while "Macho Man" attempted to become a rapper).

The boxing career tanked as Adams was too banged up after a decade and a half of wrestling so he collected on an insurance policy and planned to open a gym/wrestler training facility. He died on August 13, 2007 at the age of 43 in a death (allegedly) brought about by steroid use though, officially, the death was caused by a cocktail of drugs taken to ease an everlasting back injury.

Big Boss Man

Years active in the WWE: 1988-2003

There isn't much to write about The Big Boss Man a.k.a. Ray Traylor because by all accounts he lived a pretty clean life. But on September 22, 2004 his two daughters (ages 8 and 11) went upstairs to play at Traylor's sisters house is Georgia. His wife briefly left the room and when she came back he was dead on the couch from a massive heart attack. He was 41 years old.

Doink the Clown

Years active in the WWE: 1992-1993 (as Doink)

Matt Osborne the original 'Doink the Clown' was the typical journeyman. Every time he appeared to be settled into a league something bad would happen (usually substance abuse) and he'd find himself looking for a new gig. Though the 'Doink' character lived on long after Osborne left the WWE the original passed away last week at the age of 55. In his later years he was living the life of Mickey Rourke's Wrestler if that movie had a baby with Steven King's It; working independent leagues, signing autographs at shows and training/mentoring wrestling's future.

Val Venis

Years active in the WWE: 1998-2009

His sister married and then two-and-a-half years later divorced Edge. When asked if he would ever return to the WWE Venis (Sean Morley) said "not as long as they support SOPA/CISPA." Venis (who has used ten other ring names including the "Big Valbowski" and "Too Hip") has also made it well known that he would not return to the WWE if they didn't stop testing for pot. The WWE better change their policies regarding Internet piracy and weed smoking because they'll never be able to survive without the gigantic gob of lard that became of the almost castrated "Senor Penis."

Mark Henry

Years active in the WWE: 1996-present

If you still fancy yourself a fan of the league then you realize Mark Henry is just as prominent as ever (though this may be the twilight). In 2002 he won the Arnold Strongman Classic. You want to call wrestling "fake?" Go ahead. But he was the first man to one hand clean and jerk a Thomas Inch Dumbbell (172 lbs.), he can also squat over 900 lbs. Go try that at your gym and hope like hell your insurance doesn't have a 'Dumbass Clause.' He's impressed the strength training world so much that in 2008, Flex Magazine named him the second strongest man who ever lived.

On a sadder note, he was a pallbearer at Michael Clark Duncan's funeral (whom he met while powerlifting). We couldn't think of a better dude to hoist a casket. But always end on a good note: Last year he joined the International Sports Hall of Fame along with Arnold Schwarzenegger, Randy Couture, and Jack Lalanne.

Paul Bearer

Years active in the WWE: 1990-2012

The Undertaker's infamous manager (real name Paul Moody) ballooned up to 525 pounds before having gastric bypass surgery and subsequently dropped below 300. If you weren't aware he was a real-life funeral director and worked there full-time again starting in 2006. He and a few other investors began Gulf South Wrestling which lasted just over a year, Moody collapsed the company after the other investors attempted to go forth without him.

On March 2 of this year he attended a Gulf Coast Wrestlers reunion and three days later died at the age of 58 after having clearly visible respiratory problems. He passed away (officially) from a blood clot. The WWE then made a storyline where CM Punk dumped the ashes from Paul Bearer's urn onto the Undertaker. Lest you think that was in bad taste realize that Bearer's family signed off on the idea. If they don't bitch about it, you probably shouldn't either.

Perhaps someday you'll see the torch passed as his son Daniel—who goes by the name DJ Pringle—in the ring currently travels the country in the independent circuit.

Jeff Hardy

Years active in the WWE: 1998-2009

The younger Hardy brother makes artwork, from a 30-foot tall statue out of tin foil to an artificial volcano which he jumped with his dirtbike, the man has a creative passion that burns. In 2008 bad wiring caused his house to burn down (which killed his dog) in the same week that he lost the Intercontinental Title. Besides being a self-proclaimed poet he also plays guitar in one of world's most confusingly named bands called Peroxwhy?gen. They released an album (Similar Creatures) in 2012 and have another set to come out shortly. He also served 10 days in jail as a convicted drug/steroid dealer.

Matt Hardy

Years active in the WWE: 1998-2010

The older Hardy won $50,000 on Fear Factor for the American Cancer Society. He was dating former WWE Diva Amy Dumas (Lita) before she cheated on him with Edge, it sounds like a fucking storyline but, no, it actually happened. Now he's engaged to Playmate and former Lucha Libre wrestler Reby Sky. Peep their pictures, that's an upgrade in our books (though Sky's first choice appears to be Eli Manning).

He got released from TNA after driving drunk into a tree. He posted an apparent suicide video on YouTube in 2011. But claimed it was a hoax. It's kind of funny, we mean no one would ever believe a pro wrestler would have emotional problems, right?

Hardy racked up another DWI and got popped with both ecstasy and steroids. This led to him going to and then being kicked out of a WWE-sponsored rehab center (which he went to too avoid jail) because he had failed a breathalyzer. With leniency he eventually finished rehab. At only 39 it seems unlikely that Hardy's screw ups are a thing of the past. Stay tuned.

Test

Years active in the WWE: 1998-2004

Add him to the (unfortunate) list of wrestling personalities who died (way) too young. Martin was 33 when he was found dead in his Florida home on March 13, 2009. He was suffering from Alzheimer's like symptoms (again, at 33) that are common in boxers caused by taking way too many blows to the head. If this feels like déjà vu it could be because doctors found Chris Benoit's brain in a similar state (doctors said Benoit's brain was comparable to an 85 year old Alzheimer's patient). His official cause of death was from an overdose of oxycodone, a highly addictive painkiller, which his father said he had been addicted to for years. He had also previously been suspended by the WWE for his use of testosterone.

Ironically a year-and-a-half before his death Martin was interviewed in a documentary called The Circus: Live Fast, Die Young about the perils of pro wrestling. He said he'd been to eight funerals in the past year. "Do I wanna join that club? Hell no."

X-Pac

Years active in the WWE: 1993-present

Sean Waltman, the man who gave '90s teens the perfect comeback when their moms told them to clean their rooms, has the dubious distinction of appearing with Chyna in a porno. He also had the dubious distinction of getting booted out of the Surreal Life house by Da Brat and Verne Troyer after trying to reconcile his relationship with the ex-WWE superstar/current porn star because she'd learned that four years earlier he was knocking boots with Jenna Jameson, ex-porn star/current Mrs. Tito Ortiz.

He apparently tried to kill himself by hanging in a Mexico City apartment. Like a lot of this lists' members he entered rehab. And like a lot of rehab patients in 2011 he was found relapsing with a controlled substance. He also suffered from a painful anus (not a medical term) which literally almost killed him. It happens about 28 seconds into this video. Yikes.

Mr. Ass

Years active in the WWE: 1993-present

One of the more obnoxious components of '90s wrestling, the man of many asses has assumed at least 15 different personas in the ring. You youngsters may know him nowadays as Billy Gunn and last year he rejoined the federation after an eight-year hiatus. Like many semi-retired wrestlers he has his own school for wannabe stars. If you yearn to be tutored by the man who once walked out to this then you have to move to Tampa. If you have a question for Gunn you can tweet @RealBillyGunn, odds are actually pretty high that he'll get back to you (which is pretty cool of him).

Edge

Years active in the WWE: 1997-2011

Adam Copeland can't use the name Edge anymore because it's owned by the WWE (the same reason Chyna's pornos call her 'China') and he can't wrestle in the WWE anymore because he chose to retire from the league over risking paralysis or death; however unlike his contemporaries Copeland claims to be almost pain-free.

He also found himself in the middle of a steroid ring uncovered in a March 2007 issue of Sports Illustrated. Like Mankind before him Copeland wrote his own autobiography without the crutch of a ghostwriter. Getting out of the game at 37 years old with all his appendages in tact and sitting on an eight-figure bank account? Sounds like the life Tiki Barber thought he had on lockdown.

Kurt Angle

Years active in the WWE: 1998-2006

Angle (like a few other names on this list) was featured in an in-depth report by Sports Illustrated about steroids in pro wrestling. He rekindled his (traditional) wrestling career in a 2008 episode of Pros vs. JoesHe also made a more official (apparent) attempt at a Greco-Roman comeback by trying to qualify for the 2012 Olympic Team but failed due to a knee injury, which led to a Funny or Die skit. Angle failed the medical requirements to be on Ultimate Fighter 10 which would've been a huge opportunity to pursue a career in MMA. He married actress Giovanna Yannotti and if you were looking closely enough you realized he was a prison inmate in Pain & Gain.

Debra

Years active in the WWE: 1998-2002

After divorcing former Pro-Bowler Steve McMichael the former Miss Illinois became Mrs. Steve Austin. They were divorced less than three years later. She sold her wedding ring on eBay for over $27,000 and donated the proceeds to battered women. She was also on Fox News after Chris Benoit went berzerk and said Stone Cold had assaulted her three times and did steroids in front of her while the league supposedly covered it up.

Chris Jericho

Years active in the WWE: 1999-

You may have seen him making interjecting comments in VH1 specials like I Love the '80s and Best Week Ever. You may have seen him as the first contestant eliminated in the Simon Cowell produced Celebrity Duets on Fox losing to both Xena Warrior Princess and Carlton from Fresh Prince. You may have seen him hosting Downfall on ABC (which lasted five episodes) or Dancing With the Stars. If not, you can definitely see him hosting Robot Combat League on SyFy.

He's also an actor and not just in cheesy flicks trying to capitalize off his wrestling persona (though he was in MacGruber). He's done stage work in Canadian comedies and is even part of a sketch comedy troupe called The Sketchersons.

Jericho's autobiography (A Lions Tale: Around the World in Spandex) was a New York Times bestseller back in 2005; he since wrote a second book and is now working on a third. He was awarded Manitoba's Order of the Buffalo Hunt, "the highest honor the province could bestow upon an individual" (it was previously won by Jimmy Carter, Mother Teresa and Pope John Paul II). If that's not enough he co-owns D1 Sports Training and Therapy in Tampa, Fla. with Derrick Brooks, Tim Tebow and Chipper Jones.

He'll also apparently miss SummerSlam this year because he'll be on tour lead singing for his band Fozzy who've released six albums including their latest Sin and Bones in 2012. Though you got to wonder, if he lost to Carlton, how good can he be?

Big Show

Years active in the WWE: 1999-present

Besides winning $15,000 for the USO on Are You Smarter Than a 5th Grader? And hocking Stacker 2 (a cheap fat burner) on infomercials not much of note has happened to 'Big Show' (actual name Paul Wight Jr.) since his arrest for alleged indecent exposure in 1998.

He does find himself in the middle of a lawsuit by a former road producer Andrew Green saying Wight attacked him after a loss in January. There may be some merit to the physical part of the suit, we'll let the courts decide, but the "mental anguish" sounds like Green is just trying to get a buck because someone called him a name. We get it dude, working sucks, but you don't have to get your money in such a shameless BS exploitation of the court system.

We just hope our man will be around for a list like this a decade in the future. At 41 years old, roughly 450 pounds and putting this type of stress on his body, history doesn't favor his odds.

Kane

Years active in the WWE: 1995-present

Kane has repeatedly stated that he has no plans to retire soon from the WWE but he has a clear interest in politics. Besides Jesse Ventura, Kane may be the WWE's most vocal libertarian (though he's much less controversial than the former governor). He has hosted a podcast called The Tiny Political Show where he espouses his views. He supports the Free State Project (the idea for libertarians to move to New Hampshire to put in place libertarian ideas) and challenged Ron Ramsey, the Lieutenant Governor of Tennessee, to a debate over Internet sales taxes. He's a co-founder of the Tennessee Liberty Alliance and at the moment is weighing a bid to run against incumbent Tennessee Senator Lamar Alexander

Ken Shamrock

Years active in the WWE: 1997-1999

At the age of 49, Ken Shamrock is gearing up to fight Ian Freeman in an MMA bout in England this July, his first organized fight in three years. He's drawn some criticism for fighting well past his prime. Dana White claims he would pay Shamrock not to fight because he fears serious injury will come to him in the ring. Shamrock shot back at White and accused White of taking advantage of fighters.

He's opened a school for "submission fighting" (martial arts) and has even trained marines. In his personal life he has an estranged relationship with his brother Frank (if that sounds familiar, it's because he's also a pro fighter) and has seven kids and three grandkids. Come to think of it, maybe grandads shouldn't be in the octagon.

His son Ryan fought in his MMA debut in 2007 but also hasn't fought in three years; his son Sean made his debut in 2010 but got sidetracked when he lost a kidney due to kidney cancer.

Recently Shamrock's been under investigation for (allegedly) assaulting a woman at a mall in Modesto because he thought she was a man (which is not, like, as crazy an excuse as you might think). He also apparently popped her mom in the process.

Owen Hart

Years active in the WWE: 1988-1999

We all know that Owen Hart died when he smashed his chest on a turnbuckle May 23, 1999 in Kansas City, MO. But there have been people who claim to see his ghost in Kemper Arena, the stadium where he had his unfortunate accident. Whether you find that to be fascinating or a load of horseshit is on you, we just thought you might be interested. Feel free to 'Google' it to read about the rumors.

The Undertaker

Years active in the WWE: 1990-present

Since the '90s Mark Calaway has gotten married twice and divorced once. Currently he is the significant other of former wrestler and current babe Michelle McCool. You may see him sitting ringside at a boxing or MMA event or even challenging Brock Lesnar to a fight from his seat. He's a real estate investor who has a multimillion dollar building 'The Calahart' named after him and his business partner in Loveland, Colo. Dude also loves big dogs as evidenced by the formation of a rescue charity for animals at Texas A&M's veterinary college.

Sable

Years active in the WWE: 1996-2004

The three-time playmate is married to Jimmy John's biggest delivery boy, Brock Lesnar. Would you want to wake up next to that? She does everyday so you don't have to.

Now (at 45) she's one of the world's hottest grandmothers but that's about all we know because her and Brock stay out of the public eye. Mr. Lesnar has commented many times about how he enjoys his privacy and if that dude puts his foot down, what are you going to do? Though one time after winning a heavyweight fight in the UFC Lesnar romantically told the nation "I might even get on top of the wife tonight." Unfortunately we never got closure on that.

Mankind/Mick Foley

Years active in the WWE: 1996-2013

A man of many talents beyond mere sock puppeteering, Foley was probably the closest thing the WWE ever had to a renaissance man. Not long after the '90s, Foley found himself serving as the "WWF's commissioner." That way he didn't have to get slammed through a damn table from 20 feet in the air like he did 15 years ago. The gig didn't last long as he was "fired" less than a year in.

He's a bestselling author writing fiction for both adults and kids and even writing memoirs. To date he's written a total of 10 books. Unlike just about every athlete known to man he didn't use a ghostwriter to pen his autobiography and it ended up being 800 'effing pages.

He's made numerous appearances on The Daily Show even getting a "medal of reasonableness" at Jon Stewart's Rally to Restore Sanity. He's made movie appearances, TV show cameos (Boy Meets World), and even appeared, often, on pre-chapter 7 liberal radio network Air America sometimes hosting and being a guest at others. As of 2009 he's dabbled in stand up comedy. He donates that money to retired wrestlers' medical bills. He also swapped wives (relax, it was for a reality show) with Antonio Sabato Jr. (Model/Soap Opera Star/Douche)

Bret "The Hitman" Hart

Years active in the WWE: 1984-2010

In 2002 Brett had a stroke after a motorcycle accident which paralyzed his left side and forced him into months of physical therapy. In 2007 he got married to a woman named Cinzia Rota but they quickly divorced after they couldn't decide where to live. Other than that the Hitman seems to be floating on wrestling's periphery, though retired he still seems to be getting into feuds. He's also still bitter about the "Montreal Screwjob." Though in the era of the Internet where no one is safe from conspiracy allegations, some are claiming Hart knew all along.

Triple H

Years active in the WWE: 1995-present

Triple H is a company man if there ever was one. He married the boss's daughter Stephanie McMahon and is the current executive of Talent and Live Events. Not only is he still whooping in-ring asses but he's a bureaucrat to boot.

He lives in a house of estrogen having three daughters, luckily he balances that out by being more man than any of us can handle. Besides that he's written a book on bodybuilding and had a less that stellar movie career with him having a fairly substantial role as a vampire in Blade: Trinity, which didn't quite have a Dwayne Johnson-like jump-off.

The Rock

Years active in the WWE: 1996-present

Without a doubt the most successful '90s wrestler (or any wrestler really), "The Rock" has proven himself to be a mainstream staple so much so that you probably don't need an update on him; but we'll give you one anyway.

He's claimed an appearance on Saturday Night Live in 2000 was the reason Hollywood studios started calling. After that he put the entertainment world in a choke-hold. He made $5.5 million in his first starring role (The Scorpion King) which got him a Guinness World Record for the most money for a first time leading man. Scripts started coming like clockwork some notables included: The Rundown, Walking Tall, Get Smart, The Gameplan, The Tooth Fairy, The Other Guys, Fast Five, Fast and Furious Six, Pain & Gain and now he even hosts his own reality show The Hero on TNT. He also claimed that his role in Fast and Furious Seven was not a guarantee but according to IMDB he's signed on, he's also got a Hercules flick coming out, while it's also rumored he could be in Terminator 5.

So what did he do with some of that dough? Well, he founded the Dwayne Johnson Rock Foundation to benefit at-risk and terminally ill kids. He renovated Miami University's football facilities and they reciprocated by naming the locker room after him. After all it was the largest donation by a former athlete in Miami history and Lord knows the 'U' had some rich NFLers.

Stone Cold Steve Austin

Years active in the WWE: 1995-2003

He's done at least a dozen movies with your next chance to see him (though you probably won't) in Grown Ups 2 on July 12. He did get married to the former Mrs. Steve McMichael when he wedded WWE Diva Debra Marshall (as we already mentioned) and apparently took the wrestling home with him because cops were called to their residence due to a domestic abuse situation something she claimed was due to 'roid rage.

On a more cheerful note, the former star owns a 2,100 acre property called the 'Broken Skull Ranch' in Tilden, Texas where he lives with his, current, wife Kristin. He's developing a Broken Skull Ranch hunting scope just in case you ever wanted to open a can of whoop ass on a deer's cranium.

The dude's a natural born emcee. He hosts his own podcast called The Steve Austin Show where he's often talking with his former wrestling cohorts. It's surprisingly not bad. He hosted the revival of WWE Tough Enough where wannabe wrestlers get a chance at a WWE contract. You can currently catch him hosting his second reality show on Country Music Television (makes sense) with the show Redneck Island where 15 "rednecks" compete for $100,000 in a shameless Survivor ripoff. In fact try to get on the freakin' show yourself if you feel like it.

Razor Ramon

Years active in the WWE: 1992-1996

Razor Ramon (a.k.a. Scott Hall) has had his share of substance issues and legal problems. He interrupted a Roast of the Iron Sheik to berate host Jimmy Graham for making a joke about Owen Hart. That's reasonable if he wasn't slurring his speech and clearly hammered which has been a problem for him for a very long time. He's an alcoholic who's claimed to destroy eight different Cadillacs. In 1983 he was let off the hook for second degree murder due to lack of evidence. In an E:60 piece he admitted to doing it.

He's done several rehab stints, had both a pacemaker and a defibrillator inserted into his chest, battled epilepsy and takes 11 different medications daily to keep him alive.

Also in the E:60 feature they showed a video example of just how far the once great wrestler had fallen. He did a show in front of 400 people in some dive bar where he was so plastered he could barely stand up straight (literally, he had to get two guys to help him into the ring). Then in one of the more candid moments of scumbaggery the man who set up the fight put him out there to fight because he "wasn't friends with Scott Hall."

Invited by Diamond Dallas Page to rehab in his house (like he did for Jake the Snake Roberts) Hall at least on the surface appears ready to pile drive some of his demons.
