Draymond Green is speaking out against the wave of criticism directed at Houston Rockets guard Jalen Green and his relationship with model and entrepreneur Draya Michele.
On a recent episode of The Pivot podcast, the Golden State Warriors forward addressed the backlash the couple has faced, calling out the public and media for crossing personal boundaries. Green made it clear that while he's no stranger to trash talk or controversy, discussing someone's partner or family is where he draws the line.
"I don't do the woman thing. I ain't gonna talk about your lady," he said. "That's where I draw the line. It's about the only line I draw... I ain't gonna talk about your lady and I ain't gonna talk about your kids. Those two to me, they off limits. If you start talking about somebody's lady, I don't respect that."
Green then brought up Jalen and Draya's relationship and revealed the criticism "pissed" him off when the Warriors faced the Rockets in the 2025 NBA Playoffs.
"Jalen Green, everybody had their opinions on him. That's one of the things that really pissed me off in that series," said Draymond. "Everybody talking about him and his woman. That ain't none of y'all business. Get out that man's business. I'm publicly defending him like, 'Y'all stop.' That's wack to me. I don't rock with that. That's where I cross the line."
Jalen and Draya made their relationship public in August 2023, making headlines for the 17-year age difference between the two. When they announced in March 2024 that they were expecting a baby, the media and fans all had something to say.
In June 2024, the couple told TMZ that they stay off the internet and avoid the trolls while adding that the criticism towards their relationship is "weird."
"I don't know what people's problem is," said Michele. "Two adults being in love, I don't know why that would rub people the wrong way. It's kind of weird. Love is love at the end of the day."
