Snoop Dogg would like those who choose to live a life fully immersed in idiocy to leave him "the fuck alone" when it comes to commentary on his recent choice of accessory.
In recent days, you may or may not have had the severe misfortunate of being exposed to those who earnestly, not to mention embarrassingly, use descriptors like "satanic" when discussing matters of pop culture. These individuals were quick to apply the label to a piece recently worn by Snoop, who has been a frequent presence amid this summer’s Olympics coverage.
Now, Snoop has spoken out in response to such nonsense with that aforementioned "leave me the fuck alone" invitation.
"I don’t know what y’all thought this was but this is the goat," Snoop said in a video shared to Instagram on Monday. "I had this made because somebody told me I was the goat so I wanted to make me a goat chain. All that other shit y’all talking about, I don’t know what y’all talking about. But this is the GOAT, greatest of all time, with a blue diamond on his head. Gold. A goat. That other shit y’all talking about, miss me with that bullshit."
These days, Snoop added, his focus is on "representing peace and love around the whole globe."
Several artists have stepped up with support amid such shit-for-brains chatter. Both DJ Quik and DJ Paul hopped in the comments, with the former noting that Snoop was wasting his time "arguing with children who are afraid of the bogeyman." Kacey Musgraves, meanwhile, threw Snoop a like.
Annoyingly, albeit predictably, this isn't the only Olympics-related nontroversy involving people who somehow view everything as a direct threat to their personal religious beliefs while simultaneously failing to correctly identify the very imagery they claim to hold so dear.
