Ja Rule is setting the record straight after gossip blogger Tasha K claimed that the rapper was jumped outside of the New York restaurant Sei Less.
In a post shared on X, formerly Twitter, Tasha K claimed that she heard Ja Rule was jumped on Thursday (Nov. 20) night.
“I’m being told it was pretty phucking bad!” she wrote. However, Ja Rule responded to her claim and suggested that’s not what happened.
“Tasha why you lying to these good ppl,” he wrote in a quote-tweet reply, seen below. “Yes some bitch ass n***as tried to jump me, not it wasn’t at Sei less and I’m chilling smoking a joint watching SVP wit not a scratch on me.”
Ja Rule did not provide further details on the incident, but Tasha K has since responded to his tweet debunking her report.
“As I said [Ja Rule] story developing,” she wrote. “Bottom line, I heard you got your a$$ beat… ain’t nobody lie on you… this is why I thought it was Sei Less… they ran down on you tho… Glad you ok!! #Receipts.”
Alongside the tweet, she included a screenshot of an apparent source telling her about the alleged incident, and included a video that appeared to show Ja Rule being held back amid a scuffle.
The video was originally shared by the Livebitez account, which claimed that he was targeted in a jumping incident backstage at a Monica and Brandy concert.
In follow-up posts, Ja told Tasha K “You like getting sued I see,” plus shared a video of himself sipping from a mug and laughing.
“Believe half of what you see and none of what you read… we good over here!!!” he captioned the clip.
Regardless of what actually went down, Tasha K has often found herself the subject of lawsuits due to her claims. Cardi B was awarded a $4 million defamation judgment against Tasha K, born Latasha Kebe, in 2022. Last year, meanwhile, Soulja Boy threatened to sue her after she had William the Baddest on her podcast, and he alleged they had a romantic relationship.
