Marshawn Kneeland Died From Self-Inflicted Gunshot Wound, Texted Family Goodbye Prior to Death

Kneeland was reportedly found dead from a self-inflicted gunshot wound.

Marshawn Kneeland died from a self-inflicted gunshot wound, according to a statement from Frisco police.

Per an official statement, officers from the Frisco Police Department were involved in a pursuit with Kneeland at approximately 10:39 p.m. They eventually lost track of him, but his car was later found crashed on the Dallas Parkway. Kneeland's body was eventually found by officers, after he suffered what "appeared to be a self-inflicted gunshot wound" at 1:30 a.m. on Thursday inside a portable toilet.

Per TMZ, Kneeland texted his family goodbye prior to his death, while his girlfriend told an emergency dispatcher that he was going to "end it all."

In police dispatch audio operators in Texas can be heard stating that Kneeland's girlfriend, Catalina, said she received a troubling message from the young NFL star on Wednesday (Nov. 5). His girlfriend said that Kneeland had struggled with his mental health and told her that he planned to "end it all." She added that she attempted to contact his agent. One of the dispatchers also said that the "subject is texting his family goodbye."
