Deion Sanders expertly avoided confirming whether or not he and Karrueche Tran are dating.
The venerated football coach sat down with Asante Samuel, who, at the end of their video interview, asked about the nature of Sanders’ relationship with Tran.
“Don’t kill the messenger,” Samuel said at the 36:20 minute mark. “Everyone seen Karrueche Tran by your side during your hospital visit. Everyone want to know what that friendship is.”
“We got a bad connection,” Sanders responded, clearly pretending that the connection was cutting in and out before hanging up.
Rumors have been swirling about Deion and Karreuche since February, after they were seen together on a lunch date in Los Angeles. Now, a video of Tran crying in Sanders’ hospital room all but confirmed the speculation, though neither party has publicly addressed the moment.
After Sanders revealed his bladder cancer diagnosis on Monday (July 28), he shared a documentary titled, For Your Glory, which included the aforementioned clip of Tran. She’s also seen many times throughout the video, often appearing emotional.
"We are dealing with bladder cancer," Tran said after pausing to cry. Sanders is then seen being wheeled into an operating room.
Prime Time’s cancer diagnosis was unknown before this week. In June, he shared that he was canceling some appearances due to an “unspecified health issue.” He missed the Colorado Buffaloes’ annual slate of summer football camps and instead returned to his Texas home.
