IShowSpeed’s pickup game with Kevin Durant had Drake reminiscing.

In the latest episode of Speed Goes Pro, the streamer joined Durant in a two-on-two pickup game. When the pair began losing and their score rose to 5-0, KD took off his shoes and started dapping everyone up, indicating he was leaving.

Apparently, the same thing happened to Drake years ago.

“KD walked off on me just like this at UCLA and asked me to never invite him to a run again after he hit 4 threes in a row to end the game in another NBA players face,” Champagne Papi commented on House of Highlights’ Instagram clip of Speed and Durant playing.

Despite that incident, Kevin and Drizzy have maintained a close friendship for years. In fact, Durant served as an A&R for Drake’s last solo album, 2023’s For All the Dogs.

Durant—who previously appeared in Drake's Lil Durk-featuring video for 2021’s "Laugh Now Cry Later"—also received a name-drop from the 6 God the album. On the Chief Keef-featuring track, "All the Parties,” Drake raps, "Me and KD 'bout to turn up the art."

That isn’t the first time Drizzy Drake has mentioned Durant on a song. Back in 2012, Drake gave KD a shout during his guest verse on French Montana's hit single "Pop That,” the same year the then-Oklahoma City Thunder took his team to the franchise's first NBA Finals appearance. Then, four years later, Drizzy unleashed perhaps the most notable Durant reference on the Views album cut, “Weston Road Flows.”

As for Speed and Durant, the YouTuber felt like he and KD “have no chemistry.”

"I give him the ball, he's missing," Speed said at one point. Durant commented that the 20-year-old needs "a lot of work," saying, "Love his athleticism and agility, but his ball skills—pause—need a lot of work."
