Kevin Durant and iShowSpeed might need to work on their chemistry before teaming up again on the court.
In the latest episode of Speed Goes Pro, the popular streamer joined Durant for a two-on-two pickup game against St. John’s forwards Zuby Ejiofor and Bryce Hopkins — both of whom stand nearly a foot taller than Speed.
Speed was admittedly overwhelmed by their height. "They some big ass kids," he said. "I'm 5'10. They're 6'8, 6'7. They're too damn big!"
Despite his effort, the game quickly spiraled into a blowout — something Speed blamed on a lack of team chemistry.
"Me and KD didn't have no chemistry," Speed said. "I give him the ball, he's missing." Durant commented that the streamer needs "a lot of work," saying, "Love his athleticism and agility, but his ball skills—pause—need a lot of work."
When the score ballooned to 5-0, KD took off his shoes, and started dapping everyone up, signaling that he was done playing.
Before teaming up with Durant, Speed had enlisted the help of renowned shooting coach Chris Matthews (a.k.a. Lethal Shooter) and athletic performance trainer Clif Marshall to fine-tune his game.
Later in the episode, Speed and Durant faced off in a three-point shootout, where Durant’s consistency left the streamer exasperated. “How is he not missing?” Speed asked around the 22:24 mark — to which KD quipped, “They been asking that for 20 years, brotha.”
