Max B doesn't want to be associated with any rumors that he was involved in a backstage altercation with Ja Rule at Brandy and Monica's Brooklyn show on Thursday (Nov. 20).
In a tweet shared on Friday (Nov. 21) morning, Max B shot down rumors that he or someone from his team got into an altercation with Ja Rule at the Barclays Center show, where he was brought out as a special guest.
“Don’t tie me or my people to anything negative,” he wrote in a post on X, formerly Twitter. “We grown we on positive vibes only.”
The post comes not long after Ja Rule responded to gossip blogger Tasha K claiming that he got jumped last night. “Tasha why you lying to these good ppl,” he wrote in a quote-tweet reply. "Yes some bitch ass n***as tried to jump me, not it wasn’t at Sei less and I’m chilling smoking a joint watching SVP wit not a scratch on me.”
Ja Rule also made sure to show how unbothered he was, posting a video of him laughing and drinking out of a mug.
A video circulating on social media appeared to show Ja Rule being held back amid an altercation, which many suspected was backstage at the Monica and Brandy concert in Brooklyn. Tasha K continued to insist that a source of hers saw the incident, but Ja Rule followed up by joking about her getting sued for her posts, as Cardi B and Soulja Boy, among others, have threatened to or taken legal action against her.
He also shared a video of himself smiling while drinking from a mug. “Believe half of what you see and none of what you read… we good over here!!!” he captioned the video.
The Silver Surfer was a special guest during the Barclays Center show and performed his 2008 track "Sexy Love." Other special guests included Ciara, Tyrese, Fabolous, and Fat Joe.
