The prophecy has (almost) been fulfilled, as Clipse is up for not one but five nominations at the 2026 Grammys, including Album of the Year.
With the duo’s widely acclaimed Let God Sort Em Out serving as their first album together in over 15 years, the stakes were high going into its release. Still, Pusha T and Malice, not to mention producer Pharrell Williams, have repeatedly expressed confidence in the quality of the 13-track project, a shared sentiment that was sure to stand tall regardless of how they ultimately fared at the Grammys.
In an interview with Complex alum Frazier Tharpe for GQ that was published mere minutes before the 2026 nominees class was unveiled, Pusha T and Malice both reiterated that confidence.
“You got to understand, to us, we have already been validated with our art form and the music that we put out,” Malice told the publication, as seen here. “So to be able to walk it into a Grammy nomination, you got to first have the product, then you connect to the plug. You know what I’m saying?”
Pusha T was a bit more direct in underscoring his pursuit, arguing that he and his brother “need to take something home” for their long-awaited fourth album as a duo.
“Bringing home that hardware would mean everything,” he said. “We going for it. We made the album, we looked at it, like, this is that strong. We need to take something home for this.”
In addition to Album of the Year, the Virginia Beach-originated duo are also nominated in the following categories: Best Rap Performance (for “Chains & Whips” f/ Kendrick Lamar and Pharrell), Best Rap Song (for “The Birds Don’t Sing f/ John Legend and Voices of Fire), Best Rap Album, and Best Music Video (for “So Be It”).
The AOTY category sees Clipse going against Kendrick; Tyler, The Creator; Bad Bunny; Justin Bieber; Sabrina Carpenter; Lady Gaga; and Leon Thomas. Leading the 2026 nominees class with nine total nominations is Kendrick, whose GNX also joins Clipse's LGSEO in the Best Rap Album category.
Shortly after the news broke on Friday, Pusha T and Malice both called their five nominations “crazy.”
